Fairport Soccer Tryouts and Selection Process

2026-2027 Season Tryouts - Save the Dates!

We will have two tryout weekends.  We encourage players to attend both weekends for the best evaluation.

June 13-14, 2026 (Boys on Saturday and Girls on Sunday)

July 11-12, 2026 (Girls on Saturday and Boys on Sunday)

All tryouts will be held at Martha Brown Middle Schools

Times for each age group TBD

Everyone will need to register for tryouts (no cost to tryout).  The registration link is coming soon!

Tryout Process

The following details the process for player evaluation, tryouts and player placement for the upcoming Fairport Soccer Club season. The objective with this approach is to ensure that each player receives an unbiased, objective and fair evaluation and that teams are well formed based on ability thereby providing a fun and competitive playing experience appropriate for each player.

Coach Evaluations
Coaches will be responsible for completing an evaluation on current players.
Prior to Tryouts
Tryout Sessions and Evaluations - current and new players
Current team coaches will run tryout sessions.
Player tryout evaluations will be conducted by an evaluation team including the Director & Assistant Director of Coaching. The evaluation team will observe each session and ensure player placement is objective, fair and unbiased. All evaluators are knowledgeable about the game and can accurately assess a players’ skills and abilities.

After Tryouts - Player Ranking & Team Placements
The Coach Evaluations and Player Tryout Evaluations will be used to rank individual players.

Coaching directors will use the rankings as a basis to form teams. Players will receive placement offers via email.
