Bill Teasdale

Coach Teasdale is a 1987 graduate of Greece Arcadia High School. While in high school, he played varsity Soccer and Basketball. He went on to attend college at Oswego State University and graduated in 1991 with a secondary education degree. He also played four years of soccer while at Oswego State University. Currently, he resides in Fairport with his wife, Joanna,  and their sons, Billy and Ben, and daughter Abby.  Coach Teasdale coached all of his kids in micro soccer and coached his two sons for several years on FSC teams.  He is in his 32 year of teaching Social Studies in Fairport and coaching in the Fairport Boys Soccer Program.  He enjoys working with kids in the classroom and soccer field, and he enjoys the competitive nature of coaching soccer. Coach Teasdale has coaching experience at a variety of ages and levels throughout the Fairport School District as he coach Modified B from 1991-1994, Modified A from 1995-1999, and 2002-2006, varsity Assistant from 2000-2001, JV Coach from 2007-2019, and has been the Varsity head coach since 2020. In his years of coaching, he has received numerous awards including, 2017 Fairport High School Coach of the Year, 2018 New York State West Boys Competitive Coach of the Year, 2022 Section V AA Coach of the year, and Monroe County D1 Coach of the Year. Coach Teasdale has also been heavily involved with Fairport Soccer Club throughout his career. He is currently the Director of Coaching and has served as a Head Coach and Assistant Coach for numerous teams, and is the Director of Micro Soccer.

Kelly Ahern

Coach Ahern grew up in Brighton and graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School. She went on to study at Duquesne University where she played soccer and basketball. While in college and after, she played for the Rochester Ravens, which was a semi-pro soccer team at the time. After living in Lake Tahoe for two years, Coach Ahern returned to Rochester and was an assistant/goalkeeper coach at MCC for the women’s soccer team. The women’s soccer team went on to win the National Championship that same year.  The following year she was an assistant coach for the women's basketball team which also won a National Championship. After studying with the National Outdoor Leadership School, Coach Ahern attended SUNY Brockport and received a degree in Physical Education. After completing her student teaching at Victor she was hired as a PE teacher and is currently still a teacher at Victor High School. In 2007, she took over the program as the head coach of the varsity team and has been in that role since then. Coach Ahern has been coaching the club since the 2019/2020 season. She lives in Fairport with her husband Michael and 3 daughters who are all involved in soccer. Coach Ahern has been coaching in Section V soccer for 16 years and throughout that time she has seen many female coaches leave coaching for various reasons.  As the mother of 3 daughters, she emphasizes the importance of young girls having female coaches and role models in their lives. As she continues to coach at both the youth and high school levels, she strives to recruit more young women to join the coaching ranks as sharing their passion for the sport they love with all these young athletes can change lives. Coach Ahern loves seeing the growth in players not only in their skills but also in their confidence and love for the sport. She hopes to have a positive impact on her players and teach them values and life lessons associated with being part of a team.

Cameron Hughes

Coach Hughes is a Fairport High School graduate from the class of 2014. He grew up in Fairport and is still living in Fairport today. Coach Hughes has played soccer for over 12 years. He received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Scranton in 2018, and in 2020  graduated from Nazareth College with a Master's in Education. He played 3 years of Fairport Varsity soccer, winning a sectional championship, and was a part of the program’s run to the state final game. Coach Hughes is entering his third year of coaching with FSC with experience coaching the Boys U14 RDYSL team, and now coaching the Micro Soccer Program. In addition to coaching for Fairport Soccer Club, Coach Hughes is the Fairport Boys JV Soccer Coach and is involved in the Fairport Coaches Camp and Red Raider Youth Soccer Camp over the summer. He teaches 9th and 10th Biology at Minerva DeLand and Fairport High School. Coach loves coaching soccer because he is able to stay actively involved with the game. Soccer played a huge role in his life, so he loves having the opportunity to share his knowledge of soccer with new and developing players. Coach loves soccer because of its inclusivity and the ability to grow and progress within the sport. He feels that if players put in the time to grow their skills and awareness on the field anyone can be a successful player and teammate. He enjoys the challenge of the intellectual and thoughtful aspects of soccer. Coach Hughes feels there are multiple ways to approach the game, and he enjoys exchanging ideas about how to play soccer as a player and a coach.
