Register NOW for the FSC 2020-2021 Season!

The Fairport Soccer Club is ready to open registration for the 2020-2021 season.  We are planning for a complete season including 2 indoor training sessions per week beginning November 2, 2020 and ending April 29th, 2021.  The outdoor training and game schedule will begin May 1st and run through early August.

Due to the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made changes to our registration and team selection process, as well as new payment requirements for current and past due invoices.  Please take note of the following:

  1. Register today to secure your child's roster spot. (see instructions below)
  2. Travel Program tuition has been held to our prior year rate: $549.
  3. You have two options to pay.  Full payment at time of registration or pay in two installments: $275. at time of registration and the remaining balance of $274 by November 1, 2020.
  4. Please make your check payable to: The Fairport Soccer Club and mail to P.O. Box 903 Fairport, NY 14450.
  5. Tuition rates will be pro-rated at the end of the 2021 season, in the event we have reduced and or cancelled indoor and outdoor training/games, specific to the Covid-19 pandemic.
  6. There are no tryouts for the Fairport Soccer Club this summer.
  7. Your child will be rostered to the team they most recently played with. You will be notified if there are any coaching changes from the prior year.
  8. Teams with too many or too few players will be managed on a case-by-case basis.
  9. Our goal is to place all registered players on a team, however we are unable to guarantee this due to roster size limitations set by the leagues we play in.
  10. All new to Fairport Soccer Club players will be rostered to their respective age group and the evaluation / team placement process will take place during the first month of indoor training.
  11.  For your child to participate in our training program when we open, your past and current tuition must be paid up. Please contact our treasurer, Mike Nelkin, if you have questions or concerns about your balance due.

Contingency Planning

Due to the future uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus, social distancing requirements and potential limits on larger gatherings that may continue into November and beyond, the club has put together multiple contingency plans to mitigate overall financial risk to the club and all members.

In the event we must reduce the number of players and coaches allowed inside Turin for training sessions:

  • The Fairport Soccer Club will adhere to all guidelines and policies established by health officials, state and local governments and Turin. Player, parent and coach safety remains a priority.
  • Fairport Soccer Club (FSC) will reduce the number of training sessions to one per week.
  • FSC will maintain a month by month approach to reduced field time.
  • FSC will resume twice weekly training sessions if permitted.
  • FSC will pro-rate tuition based on the reduction in time used and paid for with Turin.

In the event indoor training is not allowed on November 1st:

  • FSC will not hold training sessions in November at Turin.
  • FSC will maintain a month by month approach to the field closure.
  • The Fairport Soccer Club will adhere to all guidelines and policies established by health officials, state and local governments and Turin. Player, parent and coach safety remains a priority.
  • We will keep you informed of our return to play status with the expectation of getting on the turf for indoor training at some point before April 2021.
  • Your tuition will be pro-rated based on the loss of playing time at Turin.

Registration Overview

Some Important Considerations:

  • Please register online prior to the first tryout date.
  • If your team has a game scheduled during one of these dates, the game is more important. We schedule multiple dates for this reason.
  • If you will be on vacation during all three tryout dates, please register online and inform your coach of your interest to play again next year.  We rely on feedback from the coach as well as the initial training sessions in November for final team placement.
  • If your son or daughter will be playing at the U8 or U9 age levels (birth year 2012 or 2011) in the Fall, they do not participate in the tryout process.  Please register online and you will be notified in October of their November training schedule at Turin.  We will use the first few weeks in November for team placement.
  • All tryouts are organized by age group.  For returning players, please tryout with the age group you will be next season. For example a current U13 will tryout during the U14 schedule.
  • If your son or daughter played up an age level, please have them tryout with that age group.

Please note, it is our goal to place all kids on a team where they can balance being successful while also getting challenged to grow in the game of soccer.

Lastly, our club is built on the strength of its volunteers and the expertise found in our community.  We are anticipating some vacancies on our Board of Directors next year and would love to hear from you if you are interested in giving back. Multiple board members will be at all tryout sessions.  Please stop by if you would like to learn more.

Thank you all for your continued support of the Fairport Soccer Club

Best Regards,
